OOC reveals the details of the participation in the Arab Women’s Club Games

 

Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) revealed the details of the participation in the 17th edition of the Arab Club Games for Women, which will be held in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates during the period from 1 to 11 February of this month. This came during the meeting that OOC held yesterday, “Wednesday,” headed by Taha Sulaiman Al-Kishry.

 

Oman will participate in four sports: Athletics, Archery, Fencing, and karate. OOC has completed all procedures related to participation in the tournament, and the delegation includes the official and administrative Omani delegation, sports clubs and their technical and administrative bodies, where the delegation will be headed by Lujaina bint Mohsen Al Zaabiya, a member of the committee’s board of directors. The female players were fully prepared to compete and achieve the desired results from participation.

 

The technical and administrative staff of the athletics team consists of Shanouna bint Saleh Al Habsia, the team’s coach, and Asaad bin Nasser Al Battashi, the team’s manager, in addition to 11 players: Azza bint Sultan Al Yarubiyah, Hana bint Juma Al Qasimia, Woroud bint Khalfan Al Nasiriyah, Khadija bint Sulaiman Al Manjiya, Sheikha bint Rashid Al-Hinaiya, Alaa bint Abdullah Al-Zadjali, Naila bint Azzan Al-Sawafiya, Wahba bint Hamoud Al-Asimiya, Hana bint Saeed Al-Tawqiya, Duha bint Hamad Al-Sanawi, and Faila bint Khamis Al-Aramiya. The team will participate in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, long jump, high jump, javelin throw, shot put, discus throw, and hammer throw.

 

As for the shooting team, the technical and administrative staff consists of coaches Nasser bin Ali Al Khatri, Allah Dad Balnour Al Balushi, and the team administrator Muhammad bin Salem Al Shaidi, while the list of female players consists of Suhair bint Salem Al Jahmaniyah, Houria bint Ahmed Al Yahya, Doha bint Naseer Al Balushi, Al Anoud bint Abdullah Al Khaliliyah, Amina bint Khamis Al-Tarshiyya and Siham bint Nasser Al-Hasaniyya. The team will participate in the 10m air pistol (teams) and 10m air rifle (teams) competitions.

 

The fencing team delegation consists of coach Hisham bin Ali Karshoud, and players Jana bint Muhammad Al-Sharjiya, Salma bint Saeed Al-Daghishiya, and Israa bint Saif Al-Siyabiyah. The team will participate in the epee competition (individual and team), and the foil competition (individual).

 

While the karate team consists of the main coach, Ali bin Talib, and the player, Hawra bint Kamil Al Lawati, who will participate in the individual kata competition.

The meeting highlighted other details related to participation; The technical details of the competitions, their schedule and venues, the requirements for the tournament, and the most important indicative procedures that will be implemented were discussed.

 

The tournament will witness the participation of more than 560 female players representing 63 teams from 15 Arab countries in 8 various sports: athletics, fencing, karate, archery, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and bow and arrow. The Supreme Organizing Committee of the tournament announced the readiness of 8 advanced sports facilities distributed in various locations in the cities and regions of Sharjah to provide the best conditions and services for Arab teams and players, taking into account the highest levels of safety and security.
