“Major Sports Events” under the microscope in the Advanced Sports Management Diploma Programme

 

 

The 16th semester of the Advanced Sports Management Diploma Program, which is organized by Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), represented by the Oman Olympic Academy, began today morning, “Sunday,” in cooperation with the International Olympic Solidarity, and continues until , “Tuesday,” as it addresses the focus of organizing major sporting events in accordance with the strategic plan. For the institution.

 

The 6th chapter is presented by lecturer Diamil Faye, senior advisor to Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, where the focus will be on evaluating sporting events and their suitability for the organization, identifying the main stages that go into organizing the event in terms of initial planning to implementation, and arranging the main tasks that go into managing the event, including administrative, marketing, financial and logistical matters, in addition to setting the appropriate legal and practical framework, identifying and managing the necessary human resources, selecting facility resources to organize the event, and finally scheduling, following up and evaluating the use of these resources.

 

The program will conclude next October, where students will review their final projects that include an administrative problem that hinders the institution to which the student belongs and how to treat it from his point of view based on what was presented in the book Managing Olympic Sports Bodies, which is considered the latest book in the sports field and presented by Olympic Solidarity. The student should address an ideal administrative situation applied in his sports institution, explaining the reasons based on what was deduced from the ideas of the book and the six chapters of the program. The studies will be sent to Olympic Solidarity at International Olympic Committee, accompanied by a summary of the study presentation, to be finally evaluated after the result is approved by the course director accredited by International Olympic Committee.

 

 

It is worth noting that the Advanced Sports Management Diploma Program is one of the most important programs offered by Olympic Solidarity at the International Olympic Committee because it contains modern skills and concepts for legislative and executive leaders in sports institutions. It enables those who pass the program to register in the Executive Master’s Degree Program in Sports Organization Management (MEMOS), which is a program It is presented to the Regional and Continental Olympic Committees with the support of the International Olympic Committee through Olympic Solidarity.
