Women Sports Committee participates in the Women World Summit in the UAE

 

Sayyida Sana bint Hamad Al Busaidi, President of Oman Women Sports Committee and Gender Equality, and Saada Bint Salim Al Ismailia, Vice President, participated in the Women World Summit 2023, which kicked off yesterday morning, “Tuesday” in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, and will continue until this evening.

 

This year’s summit bears the title “The Role of Women Leaders in Building Peace, Social Inclusion, and Creating Prosperity”, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of women’s obtaining the right to vote and be elected. The scientific sessions accompanying the summit aimed to unify the arms of women of different races, religions and cultures in order to face challenges, enhance their contributions with wisdom in building peace, and contribute to achieving economic recovery and social integration.

 

The summit witnessed the participation of a number of prominent global women leaders, as well as political leaders, entrepreneurs, community workers, and prominent cultural, media and scientific figures from more than 100 countries.

 

The summit included 12 scientific sessions that included all the issues and challenges of concern to women in these critical circumstances, in addition to discovering ways to build bridges of peace and achieve integration and prosperity of nations. Women in education and scientific research, women leaders in the parliamentary and diplomatic field, women in the global technology sector and major trends, women, fine arts and intangible heritage, climate change and gender equality, in addition to the role of women in promoting the circular economy and sustainability, women in media and creative industries, and women In thinking and consulting groups in the areas of sustainable development and climate change, women and soft power, and women leaders in the sports field.
