OOC Board of Directors holds the 4th meeting this year

 

The Board of Directors of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) held the 4th meeting for this year on Monday, headed by Khalid bin Muhammad Al Zubair, OOC Chairman, and in the presence of the members.

 

During the meeting, the minutes of the 3rd meeting that held on August 23 were reviewed and approved, and the decisions and recommendations issued by it were implemented, as well as the minutes of the 3rd and 4th Executive Office meetings held on July 17 and November 2.

 

OOC plan and budget for the next year 2023 was also reviewed and approved, which also included the budget for international participations, and then reviewed the financial statement until the end of last November 2022.

 

The Board reviewed the draft regulations and controls that will be implemented during the coming period, as the Board approved the project of the Technical Office for Sports Studies and Development, which aims to create a technical umbrella that brings together a number of experts with expertise and knowledge, specialized academics and the like, and to be a participatory work team that provides technical support as well as to advice to the Board of Directors, the sub-committees and the interested sports bodies in particular on technical and other advice related to the tasks that will be assigned to the office. The attendees also reviewed the work regulations of sub-committees, and the controls for international participation. It was agreed to make some amendments to them and to implement them directly. They also reviewed the implemented projects related to the axes for the next stage.

 

The attendees reviewed the amended draft of the regulations of Oman Athletes Committee, and after reviewing its provisions and the additions it contained, they were instructed to refer it to Oman Athletes Committee for review and coordination with specialists regarding the notes that were written and to be presented to the Executive Office for approval. The new OOC formation for Disputes and Sports Arbitration Committee, as well as Oman Sports for a Sustainable Environment Committee, has also been approved. Before the end of the meeting, there were several issues that the Board of Directors reviewed in the last items of the agenda prepared and took the necessary decisions regarding them.
