Sayyid Khalid bin Hamed Al Busaidi, OOC Chairman, participated on Friday afternoon in the meeting of the 136th session of the International Olympic Committee headed by Dr. Thomas Bach, IOC President of, and attended by members of the Executive Office, members of the International Olympic Committee, heads of international federations and national Olympic committees.  The meeting was held via video conference for the first time in history due to the current situation in which the entire world is going through.

The meeting started with a speech by Dr. Thomas Bach in which he touched on the importance of sport in light of the global pandemic and in uniting the world, where he participated in the IOC activities announced and organized in social media and websites about half a million people around the world, also during the meeting, a review of the topics listed  on the agenda and a discussion of issues related to the development of the Olympic Movement.
