11 medals for Oman in the Arab Clubs Games for Women
The Sultanate Oman’s female players won 11 medals, including 2 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze, during their participation in the Arab Club Games for Women, which was held in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates during the period from 1 to 11 February.
The fencing team won 5 medals, as player Israa Al-Siyabiya was rewarded with gold in the foil sword (individual) and bronze in the epee sword (individual), while player Jana Al-Sharajia won gold in the epee sword (individual). In the team competitions, female players Jana Al-Sharajia, Israa Al-Siyabiya and Salma Al-Daghishiya were rewarded with silver medal Epee Sword, and silver medal in the foil sword.
In the shooting competitions, shooter Wadha Al-Balushi won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol competition (individual), and the team “Amina Al-Tarshiyya, Siham Al-Hassaniyah, and Al-Anoud Al-Khaliliyya” won the silver medal in the 10m air rifle competition, while the team “Wadha Al-Balushi, Suhair Al-Jahmaniya and Houria Al-Yahiaia” won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol competition.
Oman athletics team won 3 medals, as runner Azza Al Yarubiyah won the bronze medal in the 100m competition, while Hiba Al Asimiya won the silver medal in the javelin throw competition. The relay team, Azza Al Yarubiyah, Alaa Al Zadjaliyya, Hana Al Qasimia, and Sheikha Al Hanaiya, also won silver medal in the 4x100m competition.
