OOC organizes a workshop for athletes in Dhofar Governorate
Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), represented by Oman Athletes Committee, organized a workshop for athletes in Dhofar Governorate last Thursday, within the framework of its approved agenda for this year, with the aim of meeting closely with athletes, listening to their proposals, spreading Olympic culture among them, and discussing a number of sports topics.
A number of athletes from Dhofar Governorate clubs participated in the workshop, during which 3 working papers were discussed. The first working paper was presented by Dr. Farid bin Khamis Al Zadjali, member of Oman Olympic Solidarity Committee, during which he touched on the structure of the sports system in Oman. It also touched on the role of the Oman Athletes Committee in caring for athletes and the most important tasks and specializations that it carries out represented in representing Oman Athletes Committee and making recommendations for them, and following up their technical levels, especially the players of national teams, and working with federations and sports committees to represent the rights of national team players. In addition to educating them about the applicable laws and regulations issued by International Olympic Committee, and others.
The second working paper was presented by Faisal Al-Nahdi, Assistant Director General of the General Directorate of Culture, Sports and Youth in Dhofar Governorate, during which he dealt with planning in the sports field and its relationship to decision-making for athletes, and the last working paper was presented by Asaad Al-Hasani, Chairman of Oman Athletes Committee, to groups and distribute forms for each group that contain a number of challenges for athletes, with a request to provide innovative solutions to them. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed to the participants.
