OOA holds Organizing and hosting sports events management Course
Organizing and Hosting sports events management Course organized by the Oman Olympic Academy was launched Yesterday morning, “Tuesday” “online” and will continue until tomorrow, in line with enabling those concerned with hosting sports events in sports bodies to transfer knowledge in the design, management and organization of various sports events. This comes to enhance practices that facilitate hosting sports events and excel in their design, implementation and production through the available resources.
The course was attended by Dr. Abdul Rahim bin Muslim Al Daroushi – Assistant Professor of Sports Administration and Sports Policies at the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University, with the participation of 15 employees from Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), sports federations and committees, Ministry of Culture, Sports, Youth and Military Sports affiliates.
The course includes many topics, including the classification of sports events, identification of their organizational principles and the concepts of soft power and the legacy associated with them, as well as the use of volunteer management programs in sports events, the extraction of appropriate marketing methods for the sports event, the application of qualitative and quantitative evaluation processes and the identification of aspects that can be developed In addition to discussing how to plan to organize an integrated sporting event and the steps to be followed.
