OOC signs a marketing agreement with Ibtihal Al Zadjali Foundation

 

A ceremony for signing marketing agreement was held today morning between Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) and Ibtihal Al Zadjali Foundation for Trade and Services, within the framework of the objectives that OOC Board of Directors seeks to achieve in building partnerships with private sector bodies to enhance cooperation and generate additional income sources to enhance the budget in order to implement the plans and programs.

The agreement was signed by Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, OOC Chairman, on behalf of OOC, and Ibtihal Bint Ghazi Al-Zadjali, the company’s president, on behalf of Ibtihal Al Zadjali for Trade and Services. Based on the agreement, the company will market and promote the activities of OOC and all various programs as well as managing the activities in coordination with the concerned sub-committees according to the objectives of each committee.

On this occasion, OOC Chairman said that OOC board of directors had launched a tender for companies in Oman specialized in managing and marketing events, with the aim of contracting with one of them to assist OOC searching for partnerships in the private sector bodies through marketing and commercial sponsorships. This will help the committee finding new finance sources and innovative ideas that serve the goals, especially in light of reducing government budgets in general and the importance of engaging the private sector in supporting the committee’s programs. We have selected a company specialized in managing and marketing events to help in this regard, wishing the company all success in its duties and all OOC sub-committees. He concluded by encouraging private sector to believe in the values ​​adopted by the Olympic movement in general and OOC in particular regarding the use of sport as an important means for community development in health, psychology and intellectual challenge, looking forward to building solid and sustainable partnerships with other private bodies to enhance the national role and social especially among youth.

For her part, Ibtihal Al Zadjali, the founder of the Foundation, expressed her thanks and appreciations to OOC Board of Directors for their confidence in the proposal made by the Foundation. She added, “We are eagerly looking forward to working with the OOC sub-committees and the executive board to implement the targeted programs and events. Despite the challenges that COVID-19 imposes on everyone, we are confident that sports awareness and education programs must continue with the various available means, and sports activities have become a necessary part of our daily life, which opens up new opportunities for creating partnerships with private sectors, wishing the best for all.
