On November 23, 2020, OOC represented by Oman Women\u2019s Sports Committee organized a descusion session entitled \u201cDevelopment of Women\u2019s Sports in Oman\u201d at Oman Olympic Academy within the framework of the committee\u2019s endeavor to promote women’s sport and improve its participation in various forums by developing effective strategic programs and plans.<\/p>\n
The session included 3 enriching themes, where Sayyida Sana bint Hamad Al Busaidia \u2013 President of Oman Women\u2019s Sports Committee and Saada Bint Salem Al Ismaileya – Vice Chairperson of the Committee presented the first axis with its two parts \u201cPromoting Competitive Women\u2019s Sport\u201d and \u201cThe Relationship of Oman Women\u2019s Sports Committee with Federations and Sports Clubs.\u201d.<\/p>\n
The second axis was presented by Fatima Bint Ibrahim Al-Fazariya, a sports activity specialist in North Al-Batinah Education – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the evening lamps company for organizing events and conferences, where she touched on the management of events and conferences and its role in developing women’s sport and creating a women sports community that practices sports.<\/p>\n
As for the last axis, it was presented by Leila Bint Khalfan Al-Rajibi – a journalist in Al-Watan newspaper, during which she spoke about the women’s sports media and the qualitative shift that she witnessed in various media fields, the role they play in the championships and activities of women’s sport, the challenges and obstacles that exist and the mechanisms to overcome them.<\/p>\n
