{"id":7294,"date":"2025-07-08T17:06:52","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T14:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ooc.om\/?page_id=7294"},"modified":"2025-07-09T13:30:06","modified_gmt":"2025-07-09T10:30:06","slug":"athletes-rights-and-responsibilities-during-testing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ooc.om\/?page_id=7294","title":{"rendered":"Athletes Rights and responsibilities During Testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Athlete\u2019s Rights\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Having a representative present throughout the doping control process<\/li>\n<li>Having a language interpreter present, if available<\/li>\n<li>Completing a training session or other activities while the Doping Control Officer (DCO) or chaperone observes<\/li>\n<li>Having the testing procedures explained, including how the sample collection equipment works.<\/li>\n<li>Requesting to view the DCO\u2019s credentials.<\/li>\n<li>Having a choice of collection vessels and sample collection kits<\/li>\n<li>Receiving a copy of all forms used to document the processing of your sample.<\/li>\n<li>Providing written feedback on USADA\u2019s Athlete Evaluation Form and\/or Supplementary Report Form to Oman Anti-Doping Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Requesting a delay in reporting to the doping control station for valid reasons<\/li>\n<li>Requesting modifications if you have a disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Athlete\u2019s Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complying with the sample collection procedure<\/li>\n<li>Reporting immediately to the doping control station unless there are valid reasons for delay (in-competition testing)<\/li>\n<li>Bringing a photo ID to the doping control station<\/li>\n<li>Staying in direct observation of the doping control officer (DCO) or chaperone from the time of notification until the sample collection session is complete.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping the collection vessel and sample in their possession and in view of the DCO at all times<\/li>\n<li>Having control of the sample until it is sealed in collection bottles (the DCO may assist the athlete)<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the sample code number is correctly documented on the doping control official record<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring all appropriate paperwork is accurate, complete, and signed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Athlete\u2019s Rights\u00a0 Having a representative present throughout the doping control process Having a language interpreter present, if available Completing a training session or other activities while the Doping Control Officer (DCO) or chaperone observes Having the testing procedures explained, including how the sample collection equipment works.
