Committee Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n

1. Proposing amendments to regulations related to the committee in light of new developments.
\n2. Raising awareness of the mechanisms and procedures for resolving sports disputes before the committee.
\n3. Collaborating and coordinating with Gulf and continental sports dispute committees and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to ensure the success of its missions and responsibilities.
\n4. Reviewing sports disputes related to Oman Olympic Committee or any of its members and resolving them according to the sports dispute resolution and arbitration regulations.
\n5. Developing concepts related to improving the committee’s operations.
\n6. Carrying out tasks as defined by the bylaws of Oman Olympic Committee and other relevant laws and regulations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Key Milestones<\/strong><\/h4>\n

– The Committee for Dispute Resolution and Sports Arbitration was established by a decision from the Board of Oman Olympic Committee in its third meeting of 2015, held on November 9, 2015.
\n– The regulations for dispute resolution and sports arbitration were approved at the Ordinary General Assembly meeting of Oman Olympic Committee on March 31, 2016.
\n– The first formation of the Committee for Dispute Resolution and Sports Arbitration was established by Decision No. (77\/2015) with the following members:
\n– Sheikh Abdul Wahab Abdullah Al-Hinai \u2013 Chairman
\n– Sheikh Saud Hamad Al-Rawahi \u2013 Member
\n– Lawyer Sheikh Ahmed Saif Al-Burwani \u2013 Member

\n– The first list of arbitrators and mediators for the committee was approved by Decision No. (46\/2016).
\n– The regulations for arbitration fees and the fees for arbitrators were approved by Decision No. (50\/2016).
\n– The list of arbitrators and mediators for the committee was restructured by Decision No. (5\/2018).
