The World Anti-Doping Agency\u2019s (WADA) Prohibited List is the comprehensive document serving as the international standard for identifying substances and methods prohibited in sport. Mandated by, and serving as a key component of, the Code, the Prohibited List is one of the most important parts of harmonization globally across the anti-doping movement. Broken down by categories, the Prohibited List identifies which substances and methods are prohibited in-competition, out-of-competition, as well as in some cases, by specific sport. The Prohibited List is updated annually following an extensive consultation process facilitated by WADA and goes into effect January 1 of each year. While the WADA Prohibited List is extensive, Oman Anti Doping Committee is here to help clean athletes understand the rules and regulations set forth by WADA.<\/p>\n

The following substances are placed on the 2023 Monitoring Program:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Anabolic Agents: In and Out-of-Competition: Ecdysterone<\/li>\n
  2. Peptides Hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances, and Mimetics: In and Out-of-Competition: Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogs in females under 18 years only.<\/li>\n
  3. Beta-2 Agonists: In and Out-of-Competition: Salmeterol and vilanterol below the Minimum Reporting Level.<\/li>\n
  4. Hypoxen (polyhydroxyphenylene thiosulfonate sodium): In and Out-of-Competition<\/li>\n
  5. Stimulants: In-Competition only: Bupropion, caffeine, nicotine, phenylephrine, phenylpropanolamine, pipradrol and synephrine.<\/li>\n
  6. Narcotics: In-Competition only: Codeine, dermorphin (and its analogs), hydrocodone and tramadol.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
