OOC organizes an open sports day in Sohar

 

Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), represented by Oman Sports and Active Society Committee, is organizing an open sports day in Sohar tomorrow morning, in conjunction with Omani Youth Day, which falls on October 26 of each year, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Culture, Sports and Youth in the North Al Batinah Governorate.

 

The event targets all members of society, citizens and residents, with the aim of spreading awareness of the importance of practicing sports for all, whether for families and different age groups of both sexes, children, young, people with disabilities and other broad community groups, and informing them of its positive repercussions on the health, psychological and professional aspects.

 

The event will include many sports competitions and accompanying paragraphs, where competitions will be held in tri-basketball, football, handball, beach volleyball, and badminton, in addition to a fitness program, a review of traditional games, taekwondo, a first aid workshop specializing in sports injuries, and a blood donation campaign. , laser rang, basketball for people with disabilities, Oman skateboarding team, and others.

 

The event will be held in the Sports Complex in Sohar, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, and in the presence of a number of board members, members of the Oman Sports and Active Society Committee, club members and athletes. The event is expected to witness a wide participation of young people and high competition in competitions. accompanying sports. Many prizes and rewards will be distributed to the participants in this sports gathering.
