 The Planning and Following-up Committee reviews plans of the upcoming international participations

 

The Planning and Following-up Committee held the 3th meeting this year, headed by Mohsen bin Hamad Al Masrouri, morning, “Wednesday”.

During the meeting, the analytical study of the results of the participation of our national teams in the 32nd Summer Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), which was held from July 23 to August 8, was reviewed, with 5 athletes participating in 4 sports. In light of the circumstances of the instability of the training issue due to COVID-19, the personal numbers of athletes witnessed a relative decline in general, with exception of swimming; Helps provide analytical data for sports talents. The committee also stressed the need to work on securing all logistical aspects to ensure the implementation of plans and programs for Paris Olympic Games 2024 for promising champions in coordination with sports federations.

The plan for international participations for 2022 was also reviewed, which includes the GCC Games in Kuwait (9-19 January), the 19th Asian Games in China (1-25 September), and the Islamic Solidarity Sports Games in Turkey (9-18 August).
