Roles and Responsibilities of Athlete Support Personnel in Anti-Doping

  1. Promoting Clean Sport:
    Encourage athletes to compete fairly and uphold the values of clean sport.
  2. Understanding and Complying with the Code:
    Be familiar with the World Anti-Doping Code and relevant anti-doping rules.
  3. Educating Athletes:
    Provide athletes with accurate information on prohibited substances, therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), and testing procedures.
  4. Preventing Doping:
    Take all reasonable measures to prevent athletes under their care from committing anti-doping rule violations.
  5. Leading by Example:
    Demonstrate ethical behavior and a commitment to clean sport in both actions and communication.
  6. Collaborating with Anti-Doping Organizations:
    Cooperate with National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs), International Federations, and other authorities when required.
  7. Reporting Violations:
    Report any suspected anti-doping rule violations to the relevant authorities.
  8. Avoiding Prohibited Association:
    Do not associate with any athlete or support person currently serving a doping-related sanction.
