About the Committee:
Oman Paralympic Committee is dedicated to promoting physical activity for individuals with disabilities by providing them with access to sports facilities.

Committee Objectives:
1. To support the Paralympic movement in Oman.
2. To highlight the role of physical and sports activities in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
3. To prepare athletes for participation in local and international competitions and championships.
Achievements and Participation:
– Oman Paralympic Committee participated in the 2016 Disability Expo and Conference held from February 9-11, 2016, in Dubai.
– The wheelchair basketball team participated in the Qader Festival for Individuals with Disabilities in Sohar from April 11-12, 2016, organized at Sohar University.
– The committee organized the first edition of the Oman Goalball Championship from April 22-23, 2016, at the Al-Amal Club.
– The first Athletics Forum for Individuals with Disabilities was held on December 17, 2017, at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, in collaboration with the Agitos Foundation.
– The national athletics team for individuals with disabilities participated in Fazaa International Championship in the UAE from March 14-21, 2016, where athlete Taleb Al-Balushi won two medals (silver and bronze).
– The committee participated in the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 5-21, 2016.
– The weightlifting team participated in Fazaa International Championship in Dubai from February 14-18, 2016.
– The basketball team participated in the West Asia Clubs Championship for Wheelchair Basketball from May 20-27, 2016, in Jordan.
– The wheelchair basketball team competed in the eighth GCC Championship held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from December 19-26, 2016.
– The committee participated in the 25th meeting of the Organizing Committee for Sports for Individuals with Disabilities in the GCC held in Dubai from April 26-27, 2016.
– Oman Paralympic Committee took part in the General Assembly meeting of Asian Paralympic Committee in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 28-29, 2016.
– The committee hosted the Executive Bureau meetings of the West Asia Paralympic Federation in Muscat from November 2-4, 2016.
– The national athletics team for individuals with disabilities competed in the first West Asia Paralympic Games in Khor Fakkan, UAE, and won 15 medals (5 golds, 6 silvers, and 4 bronzes).
Athlete Mohammed Jameel Al-Mashayekhi won second place at the World Athletics Championships for Individuals with Disabilities held in London, UK, from June 14-23, 2017.
The team participated in the third Asian Youth Championship for Individuals with Disabilities held in the UAE from December 8-14, 2017, winning 5 medals: 1 gold, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze at the Asian Games in Indonesia from October 1-14, 2018.
Athlete Mohammed Al-Mashayekhi won a gold medal in shot put F32, along with two silver medals in discus F32 and club throw F32 during the World Cerebral Palsy Games in Spain from August 6-13, 2018.
The national team for individuals with disabilities won 5 medals (1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronzes) at the 10th Fazaa International Athletics Championships for Individuals with Disabilities in the UAE from March 10-17, 2018.
The national team for individuals with disabilities won 12 medals (2 golds, 6 silvers, and 4 bronzes) at the 12th International Athletics Forum for Individuals with Disabilities in Tunisia from August 18-25, 2018.
The national team for individuals with disabilities achieved 14 medals (7 golds, 5 silvers, and 2 bronzes) at the second West Asia Paralympic Games in Jordan from September 15-22, 2019.

To create community partnerships and establish a sustainable and supportive sports environment for individuals with disabilities.
