Responsibilities and Duties of the Committee:

 

1. Developing a strategic plan for sports participation for all, in coordination with relevant governmental and private entities, and overseeing the implementation and evaluation of its programs, proposing necessary adjustments as needed.
2. Contributing to the development and execution of programs aimed at training qualified national personnel in the field of sports for all.
3. Establishing and implementing necessary programs to promote sports participation among all community segments, including families, various age groups, the elderly, children, individuals with disabilities, and other broad community groups.
4. Utilizing modern communication tools and social media platforms to raise awareness about the importance of safe sports practices and their positive impacts on health, psychological well-being, and professional development.
5. Collaborating and coordinating with specialized organizations in the sports field, as well as governmental and non-governmental bodies, to participate in the implementation of diverse programs for sports for all.
6. Organizing various events under the slogan “Sports for All” on an ongoing basis.
7. Engaging various community groups to highlight issues or topics with multiple dimensions.
8. Coordinating with relevant governmental institutions to actively participate in programs aimed at showcasing the preventive and therapeutic aspects of sports participation.
9. Encouraging economic and commercial institutions to promote sports activities for their employees, urging them to create spaces for sports practice both at work and outside, and making them partners in the sports for all programs organized by Oman Olympic Committee.
10. Coordinating with other committees to promote environmental and health awareness and to market their activities.
11. Undertaking any other tasks related to the committee’s responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors of Oman Olympic Committee.
