Responsibilities and Duties of the Committee:

1. Training and refining the skills of professionals working in various specializations within the field of sports medicine.
2. Organizing seminars, lectures, workshops, and conferences related to sports medicine, as well as producing informative and educational publications specialized in the field. This includes promoting sports medical culture and coordinating with federations, clubs, and relevant organizations.
3. Conducting studies and research aimed at raising awareness of sports medicine and disseminating information about such research, particularly among relevant sports federations.
4. Collaborating and coordinating with sports federations to facilitate the treatment of athletes and the rehabilitation of those injured on the field.
5. Working with sports federations and other entities to prepare necessary statistics and maintain medical and treatment data for athletes.
6. Establishing a training and rehabilitation schedule and collecting and documenting scientific and medical materials.
7. Promoting scientific research, authorship, translation, and the publication of specialized journals in sports medicine, as well as connecting with medical institutions and research bodies both inside and outside Oman.
8. Collaborating and coordinating with sports medicine committees of the Asian Olympic Council, the International Olympic Committee, and continental and international sports federations to ensure the success of its missions and responsibilities.
9. Working with sports federations to organize educational courses on nutrition programs for athletes.
10. Contributing to medical assessments and physical measurements for talent identification in children’s sports, as well as conducting effort assessment tests for national teams.
11. The committee may seek assistance from suitable individuals to ensure the success of its work.
