Responsibilities and Duties of the Committee:

  1. Contributing to the development and training of sports leadership by organizing advanced sports management courses and training programs within Olympic Solidarity initiatives, as well as recommending candidates for postgraduate studies in sports management and Olympic studies.
  2. Preparing, implementing, and overseeing support for Oman Olympic Academy with various programs and the Olympic Museum, aimed at promoting Olympic education and training, and developing cultural programs and publications related to the Olympic movement. This includes promoting Olympic spirit in educational programs for physical education in schools, universities, and sports organizations.
  3. Studying, evaluating, and monitoring Olympic Solidarity programs for coaches regarding training courses in various sports, training grants for coaches at accredited universities and continental and international training centers, and programs for developing national sports facilities.
  4. Studying, evaluating, and following up on the development of executive management by providing necessary support for internal training courses for administrators and sports management courses for executives, alongside programs for exchanging experiences between national Olympic committees.
  5. Collaborating and coordinating with all supporting committees within Oman Olympic Committee to benefit from Olympic Solidarity programs related to activating and developing the tasks and responsibilities of these committees.
  6. Providing advice and counsel to the Board of Directors of Oman Olympic Committee to assist in securing financial, administrative, and technical support from the Asian Olympic Council and International Olympic Committee.
  7. Working to leverage global programs that cover and enhance all areas of sports development by utilizing various specialized Olympic Solidarity programs.
  8. Evaluating and monitoring complementary programs for Olympic Solidarity and exploring mechanisms for their activation.
  9. Encouraging and supporting research and studies related to sports and the Olympics, as well as translation initiatives.
  10. Undertaking any other tasks related to the committee’s responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors of Oman Olympic Committee.
  11. The committee may seek assistance from suitable individuals to ensure the success of its work.
