Beach Volleyball Reaches the Semifinals, Beach Soccer Advances to the Final, and Handball Concludes Its Campaign with a Victory

The Sultanate of Oman’s national teams continue their participation in the 6th Asian Beach Games, currently taking place in Sanya, China, from April 22 to 30, where the beach volleyball team has reached the semifinals, the beach soccer team has advanced to the final, and the beach handball team concluded its campaign with a win over Pakistan.

Oman’s national beach volleyball team secured a place in the semifinals after defeating Iran 2–1 in the competition. The set scores were 14–21, 21–17, and 15–9 in favor of Oman.

The team is coached by Badr bin Saeed Al-Subhi, with Abdullah bin Khalfan Al-Ma’awali serving as team administrator. The squad includes Mazen bin Suleiman Al-Hashmi and Hood bin Rashid Al-Jalboubi.

In beach soccer, Oman booked its place in the final after a 5–4 victory over Saudi Arabia. Oman’s goals were scored by Sami Al-Balushi (three goals), Abdullah Al-Salti, and Khalid Al-Araimi, while Saudi Arabia’s goals came from Mohammed Al-Ajmi, Naif Nakal, Waleed Al-Yaqoub, and Majed Al-Shammari.

Oman will play the final match on Wednesday at 4:30 PM.

The beach soccer squad includes Khalid bin Khamees Al-Araimi, Salem bin Mohammed Al-Araimi, Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Fazari, Younis bin Khamees Al-Awisi, Al-Yaqdhan bin Saif Al-Hindasi, Abdullah bin Masoud Al-Sawti, Muslim bin Mahfouz Al-Araimi, Khalfan bin Salem Al-Ghazali, Ahmed bin Rabee Al-Awisi, Majed bin Abdullah Al-Afari, Sami bin Fail Al-Balushi, and Fahd bin Mahfouz Al-Mashikhi.

The team is coached by Talib bin Hilal Al-Thani, with Yusuf bin Obeid bin Khatib as goalkeeper coach, Hamoud bin Nasser Al-Touqi as fitness coach, Mundhir bin Saeed Al-Burwani as physiotherapist, Abdullah bin Ambar Al-Saadi as team manager, Khalid bin Isa Al-Shahehi as administrator, and Brazilian Wendell da Silva as masseur.

Meanwhile, Oman’s national beach handball team concluded its participation in the tournament with a 2–0 victory over Pakistan on Monday evening.

Other results on the same day saw Thailand defeat Bangladesh 2–0, Bahrain beat Hong Kong 2–0, Qatar defeat Maldives 2–0, Jordan overcome Mongolia 2–0, and Iran defeat China 2–0.

The beach handball team is coached by Hamoud bin Salem Al-Hassani, assisted by Jaber bin Yaqoub Al-Balushi, with Saeed bin Ali Al-Housni as team manager, Talib bin Afandi Al-Balushi as administrator, and Hossam El-Din Adly as physiotherapist. The squad includes Yasser bin Saeed Al-Harthy, Mahdi bin Salem Al-Sulaimani, Huzaifa bin Suwaid Al-Siyabi, Bashar bin Yaqoub Al-Hinai, Saeed bin Issa Al-Hassani, Ali bin Salem Al-Jamii, Muhannad bin Saeed Al-Zarafi, Abdulhakim bin Abdullah Al-Siyabi, Asaad bin Saeed Al-Hassani, and Saeed bin Hamad Al-Hassani.
