Intensive Meetings by Oman Olympic Committee in Preparation for the 3rd Asian Youth Games

 

 

The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) commenced on Monday a series of intensive meetings, scheduled to run for three consecutive days, with various national sports federations and committees to discuss technical aspects related to Oman’s participation in the 3rd Asian Youth Games. The Games are set to take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 22 to 31 October 2025.

The meetings aim to assess the technical and administrative preparations required for participation, review the readiness of national teams across multiple sports disciplines, and examine training programs and preparatory camps to ensure optimal performance during the Games.

Through these meetings, the Oman Olympic Committee seeks to establish a comprehensive plan to prepare national teams, focusing on strengthening technical and organizational aspects to enhance team performance and readiness. The Committee also aims to foster greater coordination between sports federations and committees to ensure a distinguished representation of the Sultanate of Oman at this prominent continental event.

It is worth noting that the 3rd Asian Youth Games is one of the major continental sports events, bringing together elite young athletes from across Asia. Targeting athletes aged between 14 and 18, the Games are organized under the supervision of the Olympic Council of Asia.

The upcoming edition will feature competitions in 24 sports, distributed across 31 disciplines and comprising a total of 253 events, including male, female, and mixed categories. The competitions will be held at several state-of-the-art venues, most notably Isa Sports City, Khalifa Sports City, Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Endurance Village, and Sama Bay.
