OOC Organizes a First Aid and CPR Training Course

Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), represented by Oman Sports Medicine Committee, organized a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training course at the Directorate General of Culture, Sports, and Youth in North Al Batinah Governorate yesterday morning, Wednesday. This initiative aims to enhance health and sports awareness and improve the skills of sports personnel in handling emergency situations.
The course was delivered by Ahmed Bouzid, a First Aid Trainer from Gateway Training Services Institute, and was attended by several physiotherapists and technical staff from sports federations, committees, and clubs.
The training aimed to raise awareness of the importance of first aid and CPR, equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to handle sports injuries and emergencies. It focused on developing participants’ ability to respond swiftly in critical situations to ensure the safety of athletes. The course included both practical and theoretical sessions to effectively apply first aid techniques. Additionally, it showcased the latest advancements in CPR and provided an overview of essential rescue procedures.
