The activities enjoyed considerable participation, reflecting the importance of such events in promoting physical activity and integrating it into daily life.
The event was sponsored by Muscat Grand Mall and Aster Al Raffah Hospital as the medical partner. The activities emphasized the Olympic values of fair play, respect for others, and balance between mind and body. The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of sports not only as a competitive tool but also as a means of personal and social development. OOC ensured a safe and enjoyable competitive environment that encouraged participants to relish the experience and fostered a love for physical activity.
Olympic Day is part of OOC’s commitment to promoting community sports and raising awareness about the benefits of physical activity in enhancing public health and instilling positive values. Through this event, OOC seeks to engage the entire community in a sports experience that combines entertainment and benefit, achieving goals such as strengthening social bonds and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Such events provide an ideal opportunity to encourage different segments of society to engage in regular sports activities, whether as part of their daily routine or as a means to achieve personal and health objectives. These efforts align with the vision of OOC to make sports an integral component of the community’s culture and to ensure the sustainability of this message for future generations.
It is worth noting that Olympic Day is an international sporting event celebrated by National Olympic Committees on June 23rd each year, commemorating the establishment of the International Olympic Committee. First celebrated in 1948, this day aims to promote Olympic values and encourage sports as a fundamental part of individual and community life. Olympic Day is celebrated under the slogan “Move, Learn, Discover,” inviting everyone to participate in sports activities and explore their physical potential.
