Oman Skating Sports Committee
Introduction to the Committee:
Oman Skiing Sports Committee is dedicated to promoting skiing sports.
Committee Members:

Objectives of the Committee:
– To introduce Omani youth to the sport.
– To promote the sport within the athletic community.
– To establish strong teams capable of competing in GCC and Asian championships.
Achievements and Participation:
– GCC Championship in the UAE 2012 – 2nd place
– GCC Championship in Kuwait 2014 – 3rd place
– President’s Cup in the UAE 2014 – 4th place
– Qatar Open Ice Hockey Championship 2014
– International Ice Hockey Federation Championship in Kuwait 2015
– GCC Championship in Qatar 2016 – 4th place
– Hong Kong Championship 2016
– Bahrain Open Ice Hockey Championship 2016
– President’s Cup in Al Ain 2016
– The national ice hockey team secured 3rd place in the Ice Hockey Asia Cup held in Kuwait from April 22 to 29, 2017.
Future Vision:
– To establish a women’s team and youth teams for under 18, 15, and 12 years old.
– To prepare a technical and administrative staff for the sport.
– To certify coaches and referees internationally under the umbrella of the International Federation of the sport.
– To win the Ice Hockey Asia Cup.
– To promote ice hockey and encourage investment in building Olympic-standard ice rinks.
