Its work is aligned with the principles adopted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC – Sport for All Commission), the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), and the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) through its joint programs and committees for “Sport for All.” The Committee also draws upon the expertise of The Association For International Sport for All (TAFISA) and the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding physical activity and public health, while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Committee also monitors implementation, evaluates impact, and proposes updates when necessary, in coordination with the General Secretariat and the Supporting Committees Department.

Strengthen institutional partnerships with national ministries, governmental, private, and community bodies, and integrate efforts with educational and health institutions to ensure effective implementation of sport-for-all programs. All agreements or memoranda of understanding must be approved by the Board of Directors through the General Secretariat.
-
Employ sport as a national tool to address social, environmental, and health issues such as combating obesity and non-communicable diseases, promoting social inclusion, and protecting the environment, in line with the SDGs and in coordination with other relevant supporting committees.
-
Coordinate with the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities to activate national programs that highlight the preventive and therapeutic dimensions of physical activity, consistent with national, regional, and international health policies, and submit follow-up reports to the General Secretariat.

-
Propose Omani representation in regional, continental, and international meetings, conferences, and events related to community and sport-for-all programs, and participate in the activities of relevant organizations and institutions, with reports submitted to the Board of Directors via the General Secretariat.
-
Enhance institutional integration with other supporting committees in areas such as health awareness, environmental sustainability, and community marketing to unify efforts within the Oman Olympic Committee, in coordination with the Supporting Committees Department.
-
Support and promote scientific research and innovation in the field of sport for all, in collaboration with Omani universities and research centers, in alignment with the orientations of the Olympic Council of Asia and the World Health Organization, under the supervision of the General Secretariat.
-
Seek the expertise of national specialists first, followed by regional and international experts—upon approval by the Board of Directors through the General Secretariat and Executive Director—to ensure that programs align with best global practices.
