OOC participates in the General Assembly meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia in India

 

Taha Al-Kishri, Secretary General of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), participated in the 44th General Assembly meeting of Olympic Council of Asia, which was held yesterday, Sunday, in the Indian capital, New Delhi, in the presence of the heads and representatives of the 45 National Olympic Committees in the Asia. The meeting witnessed the announcement of Randhir Singh as President of the Olympic Council of Asia, as he is the only candidate for this position.

The work of the General Assembly also included the election of Vice Presidents of the Olympic Council of Asia for the five geographical regions, divided into East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and West Asia.

The reports and visual presentations were reviewed on the latest preparations of the organizing committees for the upcoming Asian Games, represented by the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (Riyadh 2025), the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China, which will be held in February 2025, the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in 2026, and the latest presentation by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
